Sandy graduated form Oregon State University in 2011 with a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine (DVM). During her practical experience she began to realize conventional western medicine wasn't always enough. The western medical approach tends to label the animal as the diagnosis and treats it as such. The Traditional Chinese approach treats each animal as a unique being and not a catalog of signs and symptoms. She became interested in acupuncture for animals after her own successful acupuncture treatments. She discovered a vibrant community of veterinary acupuncturists all over the country.

 

Sandy received her Traditional Veterinary Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture Certification through the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society (IVAS). She believes in providing high quality medicine and developing individualize treatments using multiple modalities.
